Beginning Weaving on Rigid Heddle Looms
Interested in learning to weave? Join us Saturday, June 8 from 9-2pm AND Saturday, June 15 from 11-2pm when Joan from The Black Sheep Yarn Boutique in Olympia will share her weaving talent with us. Six rigid heddle looms will be available for use during this two-part class or you can bring your own.
You will learn the basics of warping/weaving and will weave a cotton towel in 2 -3 colors. This will be a 2-part class with looms provided. Try out a loom before making an investment in equipment. During the week between sessions, looms will be available in the shop for your use or you may rent one to take home.
Supplies needed: 2-3 colors of cotton yarn (DK or worsted), tapestry needle (bent tip suggested), tape measure & scissors. Cotton yarn can be purchased in shop with a 10% discount.
Cost of this class is $90 with a maximum of 6 students. Please make sure you will able to attend both sessions before signing up.
