PUYALLUP SPRING FAIR – April 14-17
Stop by and visit our booth at the Puyallup Spring Fair this week! We will be located in the “J” Barn with the Shepherds’ Extravaganza. We will also be selling the new beaded bracelets there so stop by and maybe pick up a gift for Mother’s Day!
We also have new babies at Firwood Farm. Not the alpaca kind though…we let one of our new bantam hens set on some of her eggs and she hatched four baby chicks. We purchased four more chicks at the feed store (two that lay colored eggs!) and she adopted them without hesitation so we have eight little chicks running around the barnyard. Spring is really here!

Last year’s babies are growing so fast! A.J. and Bellina (pictured) are now 11 months and 6 months old. “Baby A.J.” continues to be a sweetie pie with at least 4 inches of fiber that is going to make lucious yarn for the Fall! Bellina, although she is the youngest, is no pushover as she plows her way through the older girls to get grain.
It is three weeks until spring and counting! I think everyone here is ready to say goodbye to snow, sleet, hail, mud and say hello to a little sunshine, drier pastures and green grass!
We are planning to be at the Puyallup Spring Fair (April 14-17) again this year. Look for us in the Shepherds’ Extravaganza barn on the South side of the Hobby Hall. Christmas Open Barn – Additional Days!!
We have added additional dates for our Second Annual Christmas Open Barn. We will also be open Dec. 11-12 and 18-19 from 11-4pm. The alpacas will be on the lookout for visitors with grain! Enjoy hot coffee, cider and cookies while shopping for that unique alpaca Christmas gift in our store.
